Do We Really Need It?

Mayur Naturals has always been about sustainability. When ingredients became not sustainable, we changed them. For example, the Salt Scrubs used to be made out of Dead Sea Salt. But when there were reports of the Dead Sea retreating because of over use, we changed to Himalayan Salt.

With so much attention on pollution and climate change, we took a look at our own carbon footprint and waste that we produce. For this reason, we are changing our packaging. This affects mostly the cosmetics packaging where they came in plastic boxes. We are now in the process of phasing out the plastic boxes which end up in the trash causing more pollution. Each item will still be sealed for safety, you just wont get a nice little box with it.

We did consider switching to paper packaging instead of plastic. But that did not really reduce waste. We all throw the packaging away anyway. So for now, we will send out the sealed cosmetics, but we are very interested to know what you think. Should we do the paper box? What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
